The Problem I See
I help research organizations build data infrastructure that works - from strategy through execution through team capability.
Most research organizations have smart people and solid processes. But they're often missing the upstream architecture: the strategic thinking about how systems should be designed, how operations should be structured, and how teams should be trained to execute consistently.
When that's missing, you get:
EDC systems that sound good in theory but create friction on the ground
Study startups that take longer than they should
Inconsistent data quality because there's no shared framework
Teams that feel reactive instead of confident
I partner with sponsors, CROs, and health tech ventures to build that infrastructure - the systems, processes, and team capability that clinical research actually depends on.
How I Work
Signature clinical advisory services.
We provide targeted, high-stakes intervention at critical phases of your clinical trial lifecycle -- the work typically falls into a few areas:
EDC System Architecture
Operations & Startup
Data Strategy & Governance
Electronic data capture (EDC) is the system coordinators use to enter trial data. If that system isn't working right - confusing coordinators, slowing things down, or creating data problems - I help you understand why and fix it.
That might mean designing a new system from scratch, redesigning an existing one, or helping you think through how to select and configure a platform that fits your specific needs.
The goal is simple: An EDC that sites understand, that supports clean data collection, and that your teams trust.
Example outcomes:
Query rates drop from 2.5% to 1.2% in the first month
Database lock completed 2 weeks faster than historical average
Sites report high confidence in the system during UAT
Study startup shouldn't feel chaotic. Neither should managing 15 concurrent trials with consistent quality.
I help you build operational infrastructure - the processes, tools, checklists, and training that let your teams move fast without cutting corners. This includes everything from defining startup timelines to site management frameworks to quality assurance protocols.
The result: Faster launches, more confident sites, and teams that understand why they're doing what they're doing.
Example outcomes:
Study startup time reduced from 8 weeks to 4 weeks
Site coordinators spend 40% less time answering data entry questions
95% of sites report feeling confident in the startup process
Data quality starts upstream, not downstream. Before you build an EDC or launch a study, you need to understand how data flows, who's responsible for what, and what good looks like.
I help you develop a data strategy and governance framework that aligns your collection design, system selection, quality oversight, and regulatory approach into one coherent philosophy.
This prevents the common problem: Building systems that work in isolation but don't talk to each other or to your actual needs.
Example outcomes:
Zero data integration issues at go-live (everything was planned in advance)
98% data completeness across clinical and wearable data
Regulatory feedback process streamlined due to harmonized data definitions
Team Training & Capability
Systems only work if the people using them understand them. I develop and deliver training for coordinators, data managers, operations teams, and sponsors - turning technical knowledge into practical capability.
This might be onboarding training, launch training, or ongoing capability building. The focus is always on helping people feel confident in their role.
How much does this cost?
It depends entirely on scope. Some engagements are short and focused (2–4 weeks), others are longer or ongoing. I'll talk through what you're working on and give you a realistic estimate. I don't charge hidden fees or scope creep - if the work changes, we'll adjust the scope and timeline together.
How long does this actually take?
Again, depends on scope. A gap assessment is typically 2 weeks. A full EDC redesign might be 3–4 months. Ongoing advisory work is structured month-to-month. I'll be clear about timeline once I understand your situation, the key players, and expected results.
What if we're not sure what we need?
That's mostly normal. A discovery call is designed for that - I'll listen, ask questions, and help you get clarity on what's actually broken and how to fix it. No obligation to move forward.
Can you work with our vendor / our CRO / our EHR system?
Yes. I work vendor-agnostic and platform-agnostic. I care about your data and your outcomes, not protecting any particular tool.
What happens after we finish?
I don't disappear. I'll follow up to make sure the work is driving the outcomes we intended to happen. If something isn't working, we will troubleshoot together. If you need ongoing help, this can be arranged, too. The goal is lasting change, not a hand-off.
How do we get started?
Book a Discovery Call or fill out the contact form. I will respond within one to two business days.
FAQ
How Do You Actually Engage?
If you're not sure what the problem is, we start with a discovery conversation. I listen, ask questions, and help you get clarity on what's actually broken and how to fix it. No cost, no obligation.
If you know what you need, we can scope a specific engagement - whether that's a deep audit, a build project, or ongoing advisory support. I'll talk through timeline, scope, and what the investment looks like.
If you need ongoing support, we can structure an ongoing relationship where I'm part of your team on an as-needed basis.
What works best depends on your situation, and we'll figure it out in conversation.
Why Work With Me
I don't believe in generic solutions. I understand that every organization has its own research identity - its workflows, its culture, its constraints, its goals. My job is to understand that identity and build solutions that fit, not impose solutions that look good on paper but don't work in practice.
I also believe that good data infrastructure is inseparable from good research practice. Everything I do is oriented around protecting the integrity and usability of your data, and making your teams more capable.
Most importantly: I stay involved after an engagement. I don't hand off and disappear. I'll follow up to make sure the work is actually creating the outcomes we planned for.
We work best together if you have a specific challenge and are ready to solve it properly - not patch it.
